In this latest episode of NHB, Susan is joined by Bill Bratton, former New York City and Boston Police Commissioner and former Los Angles Police Chief. He is the only person to have led the police departments of the United States’ two largest cities – New York and Los Angeles. Bratton, known for his “broken windows” policing philosophy, takes us through the state of crime, the legislation he believes is affecting the levels of crime, and how it should be addressed. As well as taking us through his perspective, he takes us through the history of policing in the US in the past 50 years.
